OLD TURTLE POND FARM has deep roots in South Lexington County, beginning as a contract grower for major suppliers and garden centers across the Northeast and Midwest.  When the pandemic temporarily closed many garden centers, the farm decided to try selling plants locally.  What started as a single booth at Columbia’s Soda City Market soon blossomed into a loyal following of gardeners eager to snap up the farm’s healthy, locally grown plants at true wholesale pricing.  Even as the world reopened, the enthusiasm never slowed.  The success at Soda City Market prompted interest in whether people would drive to the farm.  As it turned out, they did!    People came from Charleston, Charlotte, Aiken, and beyond just for the sale.  As a wholesale farm, Old Turtle Pond Farm is only open to the public a few weekends in the spring and a few weekends in the fall, or by appointment, offering a rare chance to shop directly from a working wholesale farm.   In addition, Old Turtle Pond Farm also has a booth at the Midlands Plant & Flower Festival each year.   Rooted in quality, community, and a love for growing, Old Turtle Pond Farm is proud to bring exceptional plants from our fields to your garden.
